Senior Data Engineer

Lead Data Engineer (Remote) We are seeking a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to help modernize and rebuild a growing commercial data environment. This highly visible role will partner closely with leadership, business stakeholders, and data science teams to improve data architecture, scalability, and reporting capabilities while driving key modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Databricks, data pipeline development, and enterprise data modernization, along with the ability to confidently communicate technical concepts to executive audiences. What You’ll Do • Lead modernization and refactoring of existing data pipelines and processes • Build scalable data engineering solutions in a cloud-based environment • Support major initiatives including Databricks migration and AI-driven data projects • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting and data architecture • Collaborate with Data Science teams on best practices and scalable solutions • Present updates and recommendations to VP/executive-level leadership What We’re Looking For • 10+ years of data engineering and technical experience • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks (required) • Advanced SQL, ETL, data modeling, and pipeline development skills • Experience modernizing enterprise data environments • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management abilities • Azure experience preferred • Python, Snowflake, Tableau, and Power BI experience preferred The projected hourly range for this position is $75.00 to $85.00.
