Position: Senior Data Scientist Location: Remote (Quarterly onsite to Reston, VA – reimbursed if not local) Type: 12-month contract (Possible extension) Reports To: Hiring Manager overseeing GenAI/Data Science initiatives Interview Process: 2 rounds (1: Hiring Manager | 2: Technical Panel) Type of Hire: ONLY W2 contract Core Responsibilities • Lead NLP-driven GenAI projects, e.g., converting scripts to natural language. • Work on existing projects and launch new initiatives across data science. • Perform data mining, feature extraction, profiling, and algorithm application. • Translate AI/ML outputs into business-focused narratives. • Develop scalable software & AI solutions integrating across enterprise platforms. Technical Must-Haves • NLP & LLMs: Semantic parsing, code-to-text, summarization, prompt engineering, text transformation • SQL scripting: Strong across multiple dialects; advanced relational data modeling • Python: Proficient scripting including ML/AI workflows and APIs • Data Engineering: Indexing, modeling, pipelines • LLM Awareness: Familiarity with major models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) • APIs: RESTful API integration across platforms Nice-to-Haves • Healthcare domain experience • Fine-tuning LLMs, embeddings, RAG, Agentic AI • AWS ecosystem experience • Cross-functional collaboration in large enterprise settings Required Education & Experience • Bachelor’s in CS, Stats, Math, or equivalent • 5+ years in Data Science (or 9+ without degree) • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and communicate clearly with non-technical teams
