Role description
Simarn is hiring a Senior Data Scientist with 7–9 years of experience to join our team and drive advanced AI/ML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and SQL, along with hands-on experience performing data transformation and exploratory analysis using Pandas and NumPy. In this role, you will build, train, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models using Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, while working with techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and deep learning models including CNN, RNN, LSTM, and autoencoders. You will also design and implement big data and streaming AI/ML training and prediction pipelines, support ETL processes, and leverage tools such as AWS and SageMaker. The position involves translating complex business problems into scalable data-driven solutions, ensuring strong model evaluation, cross-validation, and hyperparameter tuning, and promoting best practices in data science and model governance while mentoring junior engineers and leading code reviews. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning and be passionate about guiding strategic data initiatives and adopting evolving technologies.
