Senior GIS Analyst β Transform a Statewide Program (Hybrid | Michigan)
We are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to play a pivotal role in transforming how leak survey programs are designed and executed across the state.
This is not a typical GIS role β this is a high-impact, technical leadership opportunity where youβll help redesign a statewide framework that directly supports regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.

β’ Hybrid role based out of a Michigan Service Center (Lansing, MI preferred)
β’ Remote work available Wednesdays & Fridays (most weeks)
π What Youβll Be Doing
β’ Lead the redesign of statewide leak survey boundaries, schedules, and inspection frequencies
β’ Apply advanced GIS analysis to restructure and optimize existing survey frameworks
β’ Serve as a GIS subject matter expert across Compliance, Engineering, and Operations
β’ Perform complex data segmentation, cleanup, and standardization of gas distribution assets
β’ Resolve data inconsistencies and improve overall GIS data integrity
β’ Support regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives (MPSC, PHMSA)
β’ Drive data governance, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts
π§ What Weβre Looking For
β’ Strong experience with ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, etc.)
β’ Advanced skills in spatial analysis, data modeling, and GIS data management
β’ Experience working with utility networks, infrastructure data, or compliance-driven programs
β’ High proficiency in Excel and data analysis
β’ Ability to work independently and solve complex, ambiguous problems
β’ Strong attention to detail and ability to balance accuracy with deadlines
β Nice to Have
β’ Experience with Survey123, SAP, or enterprise work management systems
β’ Background in utilities, engineering, or integrity management programs
β’ Experience supporting audits or regulatory reporting
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex GIS concepts
