Senior PHP Full-Stack Developer

Resource 1 is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer with experience building enterprise-level web applications using PHP, VueJS (or similar frameworks like React or Angular), MySQL/SQL Server, and AWS. This role focuses on back-end development and the maintenance of web applications that support a global membership organization. The engineer will work within a cross-functional, collaborative Agile development team delivering high-quality, scalable solutions using modern technologies. This is a 100% remote contract position starting at 12 months with extensions expected. Responsibilities: • Analyze, design, and develop back-end logic using PHP 7+, Symfony/Laravel, VueJS 2+ (or React/Angular), MySQL/SQL Server, and AWS. • Develop new features and resolve bugs/production issues for internal-facing applications in a Scrum/Kanban environment (2-week sprints). • Write and execute unit tests to validate code functionality and ensure high-quality software development. • Write clean, well-structured, and tested code based on object-oriented (OOP) and MVC programming principles. • Collaborate with other developers, QA team, and Product Managers on development projects and conduct code reviews. • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues in production environments. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Qualifications: • 8+ years of development experience focused on web applications, object-oriented programming, and API services. • Strong hands-on experience with: • PHP 7+ • Symfony or Laravel framework • VueJS 2+ (or React/Angular) • MySQL or SQL Server (writing queries and optimizing indexes) • AWS • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
