We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join the dynamic Data & Analytics team at one of the world’s leading financial institutions. This role will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and deploying interactive and impactful business intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on data visualization, reporting, and security. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling, combined with the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Ideal candidate will come with Financial Corporate data experience and building reports for P&L Processes, Monthly forecasts, quarterly ends, and balance sheets. In this role, you'll create data-driven insights through advanced dashboards and analytics, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business questions, understand areas of analysis, understand workflow styles, and turn this information into purpose built BI, helping the company to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive growth. Within the Data Team, you work alongside collaborative teammates and learn from broad Data experiences spanning multiple industries and technologies. Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months Required Skills & Experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Power BI, SQL, and DAX in a data analytics or BI development role. • Advanced knowledge of Power BI desktop, Power BI service, DAX, and Power BI's reporting and visualization capabilities. • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets, with experience working in a database environment (SQL Server, etc.). • Experience in designing and deploying paginated reports within Power BI to meet specific formatting requirements. • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing row-level security in Power BI. • Strong skills in data modeling, including understanding star and snowflake schemas, and the ability to design efficient data models that support high-performance queries. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and data-driven insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus. Desired Skills & Experience • Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred. • Experience managing and configuring Power BI workspaces and user access controls. • Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake) is a plus. • Experience working in Agile teams and environments.
