This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology. The candidate will have deep knowledge of energy & commodities trading markets and organisations. Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of software development experience with a strong "Full Stack" profile - Proven experience in a trading environment, preferably in energy or commodities markets - Strong Python development skills, including: - Building APIs with FastAPI - Data manipulation with Pandas - Writing reliable unit and end-to-end tests with PyTest - Proficiency in front-end development with React.js - Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming - Strong SQL skills and database development experience - Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and Azure cloud services - Experience with DataBricks or similar big data processing platforms - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) - Experience working in Agile development environments With a focus within Energy Trading, Oil & Gas, Financial Markets and Commodities, we offer a transparent Recruitment Service that has proven to be reliable and effective for over 40 years.
