Senior Technical Developer - NO C2C

Main technologies used here will be Python and React. This experience must be recent and extensive. Fully remote role, contract to possible higher. No C2C or third party vendors please. Due to the nature of the work being done, USC or GC Holders only. $75-80hr W2. Position Overview: The Technical Development Lead will oversee the software engineering efforts to design, develop, and test, and deploy client's family of ID Verification technology solutions including API, Mobile, Web and native applications. This individual will work closely with the engineering team and leadership stakeholders to ensure we deliver high quality solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate has experience building business to business SaaS products and leads by example, ensuring code developed delivers high-value products to our customers. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions ensuring high performance, quality, and reliability. • Leads the engineering team by example writing code and demonstrating best practices for delivering quality software. • Collaborate with leadership, engineering, DevOps and QA, to ensure the delivery of high-value quality products to our customers. • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for software development aligning with the company's long-term goals. • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation. • Establish and monitor performance metrics for software systems and lead efforts to optimize system performance and reliability. • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the software development team and across departments. • Work with leadership to develop budgets, timelines, and project plans to support new software development initiatives. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a software engineering lead or management role, ideally in a SaaS product environment • Proven experience leading software teams and managing complex development projects from inception to completion. • Strong knowledge of RESTful API’s, queueing architectures like Kafka or RabbitMQ. • Expertise in React, Python, Javascript, and no-SQL databases. • Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development lifecycle management. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. • Experience with Github, Docker and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. • Clear understanding of software design patterns and their applications • Unit testing strategies for web, mobile, native desktop and server software. • Desired Technology Experience • Object Oriented Design • Pandas Data frames • FastAPI • Queueing (AWS Simple Notification Service, Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Javascript • React • Nextjs • Typescript • Redux/RTKQ • Bonus Experience • Cassandra • Elasticsearch Indexing Strategies and Aggregation Queries • React Native • Electron
