We are Shopify Plus Technical Lead to drive the development of high-performance eCommerce experiences. You’ll lead Shopify projects end-to-end—from discovery and architecture through deployment and optimization—while mentoring developers and collaborating with strategy, design, and delivery teams. This is a minimum 6-month contract, 40 hours per week, that is expected to extend to 12 months. What You’ll Do • Lead technical execution of Shopify Plus builds and enhancements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during discovery, planning, and implementation • Develop custom themes, apps, and integrations using Shopify APIs (REST, GraphQL) • Review code, ensure best practices, and provide technical guidance • Maintain and evolve existing Shopify Plus stores for performance and scalability What You Bring • Proven Shopify Plus development experience • Expert in Liquid, Shopify APIs, custom app development, and theme architecture • Strong knowledge of product setup, inventory, orders, discounts, and fulfillment logic • Experience with version control (Git), and front-end tech (AJAX, jQuery) • Familiarity with integrations (ERP, OMS, WMS) and data migration workflows • Solid understanding of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and headless commerce Preferred • 5+ years of eCommerce development experience • Experience migrating from platforms like Magento • Familiarity with React, Node, NoSQL, or Shopify frameworks (e.g., Slate) is a plus Offer • Open hourly rate • Potential for insurance benefits • Working on EST timezone
