Role description
Solutions Architect – Snowflake & Data Clean Rooms 6 month contract - Part time Location: Remote, must be UK based. We are looking for a highly experienced Solutions Architect to help enterprise clients implement and optimize their modern data platforms, with a focus on Snowflake. This role involves direct technical engagement, architectural leadership, and strategic consulting throughout the customer lifecycle. Ideal candidates will bring deep technical expertise, a solutions-driven mindset, and the ability to guide both teams and executives toward successful data-driven outcomes. Experience with Data Clean Rooms or Native Apps is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Engage directly with enterprise clients, either individually or as part of a delivery team ● Oversee and guide implementation of data platform solutions, particularly those involving Snowflake and Data Clean Rooms / Native Apps ● Show technical leadership through hands-on development, architecture design, and best practice recommendations ● Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and technical stakeholders ● Translate complex business requirements into scalable, well-architected solutions ● Develop long-term roadmaps and future state guidance for data platforms ● Apply best practices to minimize risk in customer implementations ● Break down strategic goals into actionable delivery plans ● Collaborate cross-functionally with product and go-to-market teams to support customer success REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) ● 10–12 years of experience in roles such as Solutions Architect, Data Architect, DBA, or Data Engineer ● 10–12 years of technical consulting/solution delivery experience ● Proven leadership in enterprise-scale analytics or data platform initiatives ● Experience building and managing solutions using Snowflake ● Hands-on expertise with Data Clean Rooms or Native Apps (essential) ● Comprehensive understanding of the modern data stack, from ETL/ELT through data warehousing to BI and analytics ● Strong hands-on experience using SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Spark ● Knowledge of large-scale database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Netezza, Exadata, Greenplum) ● Expertise in Snowflake security posture (network policies, session policies, etc.) ● Experience consuming Native Apps from the Snowflake Marketplace ● Experience implementing Snowflake privacy controls (masking, projection, aggregation policies) ● Full understanding of Snowflake Data Sharing ● Understanding of the business value and technical requirements of Data Clean Rooms ● Expertise in data security and access control within Snowflake PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS ● CI/CD and code management experience ● Direct experience with Snowflake Samooha DCR implementation ● Leadership experience delivering technical data projects ● Domain expertise in Retail (preferred), Media, Financial Services, or Healthcare ● Background in application development ● AWS, Google, or Microsoft Cloud certification(s) ● Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Certification(s)
