Splunk Architect/Engineer

Role: Splunk Architect/Engineer Location: Plano, TX/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Rate: W2 Contract Note: Candidate must have Splunk Architect Certified. Manager wants someone with Splunk Architecture/Engineering experience, not just a Dashboard person. They need someone who can help make Architecture decisions and operate independently. They have had issues with bringing in people who are only skilled in the dashboard side who cannot operate independently Required minimum qualifications: • 5+ years expert-level Splunk Architect experience • Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience • Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python and/or Windows scripts • Thorough knowledge of regular expressions • Strong debugging and analytical skills • Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins and others to deliver solutions together • Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions • What sets you apart from other candidates: • Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic and/or AutoSys • Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment • Experience with other monitoring tools • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline • Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator • Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
