Description: • Splunk Dashboard Designer • Position Description • The client has an immediate need for a Splunk Dashboard Designer to join our team for a short-term need. • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. • We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. • This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Your Future Duties And Responsibilities • We are seeking a skilled Splunk Dashboard Designer/Engineer to manage and optimize our Splunk environment. • This role involves troubleshooting system issues, developing dashboards, tuning performance, and integrating logs from various sources. • The ideal candidate will also leverage Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) for threat detection and incident response, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights through data visualization and automation. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Minimum of 3 5 years of hands-on experience with Splunk in an enterprise environment. • Strong experience developing custom dashboards using Splunk Designer Dashboard Studio • Strong experience with Splunk administration, including troubleshooting, indexing, and search optimization. • Proficiency in dashboard development using Splunk s visualization tools. • Expertise in performance tuning of search queries and data ingestion. • Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) for threat detection and correlation searches. • Ability to onboard and normalize logs from diverse sources (servers, cloud platforms, applications). • Solid understanding of AWS services (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, S3) and their integration with Splunk. • Python scripting skills for automation, data enrichment, and API integrations. • Familiarity with cloud architecture and security best practices. • Experience creating scheduled reports, alerts, and event types using Splunk commands. • Must hold a Splunk Certification. Education: • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
