The CRM Data Analyst will work within a data team and will be asked to support system integration, product catalog loads, and reporting projects.
Some representative items are below:
Analyze denormalized data in Salesforce.com and produce a normalized data structure in SQL Server to hold this data for reporting.
Design and build data loads using Salesforce UPSERT capabilities.
Create SQL Server stored procedures to aggregate, cleanse, and harmonize data from multiple systems.
Write queries comparing Salesforce data and on-premise data from other systems (ERP/contracts, products databases, pricing systems).
Analyze business rules and write SQL statements to identify records which do not meet these rules.
Perform data quality analysis for completeness, uniqueness, accuracy, and cross-system consistency between Salesforce.com and on-premise systems.
Troubleshoot ETL processes to identify sources of error and corrective action.
Candidates who have succeeded in this role in the past have had strong SQL skills and have been able to create production-level code in SQL Server, including data structures with effective keys and constraints, error-handling in stored procedures, functions, table variables, CTEs, and procedures which call other procedures and pass parameters.
Candidates have been familiar with data conventions in Salesforce.com, including options to read and write Salesforce data via APIs and ETL tools.
These candidates have been familiar with Salesforce concepts such as master/detail and related relationships, governor limits, validation rules, and multi-select picklists.
