Senior Ab Initio Administrator – Data Infrastructure Job Type: Contract About the Role We are hiring a Senior Ab Initio Administrator to manage our ETL infrastructure and support the migration of our Ab Initio environments to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This is not a developer role. It is a focused administrative position involving installation, configuration, and cloud migration. Responsibilities Install, configure, and manage Ab Initio environments. Migrate Ab Initio infrastructure to AWS using services like EKS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB. Manage Metadata Hub (MDH) and the Operational Console. Build and automate ETL processes using scripting. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize performance. Collaborate with data engineers and architects on the cloud migration. Required Skills 6-8 years of Ab Initio administration experience. Experience with AWS (EKS containerization, cloud databases). Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux, SQL, and scripting (bash, shell). Experience with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred). Expertise with Metadata Hub (MDH), GDE, and Operational Console. Preferred Skills Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and DB2. AWS Certification. Knowledge of SOA and experience in an Agile environment. Strong documentation and customer-facing skills.
