Focus: β€’ Design and deploy scalable cloud data solutions using a combination of Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks. β€’ Lead the modernization of legacy data environments, transitioning solutions from on-premises tools to modern Azure-native architectures. β€’ Build robust enterprise data warehouses and dimensional models using best practices for cloud performance and scalability. β€’ Define and optimize data flow architectures, including medallion layering (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for structured processing pipelines. β€’ Develop and maintain semantic data layers and build advanced Power BI dashboards for actionable business intelligence. β€’ Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate analytical goals into scalable cloud solutions. β€’ Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. β€’ Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve pipeline performance and system reliability. β€’ Participate in full SDLC activities including planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing documentation. β€’ Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud data engineering and analytics. Skill Set: β€’ Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. β€’ 6+ years of experience working with Azure-native data technologies, including Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, and Azure SQL. β€’ Strong background in ETL processes, data modeling, and enterprise-grade data architecture. β€’ Proficiency in Lakehouse paradigms, semantic layer design, and modern data platform operations. β€’ Practical experience implementing DevOps principles in a data environment, especially with Azure DevOps and infrastructure automation tools. β€’ Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role, managing multiple projects and environments. β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across technical and business teams. β€’ Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks. β€’ Familiarity with AI/ML tools and notebooks using Python or R in cloud environments. β€’ Knowledge of enterprise data resiliency, including HA and disaster recovery planning.
