Role description
Our client, a leading organization in enterprise technology solutions, is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Data Migration Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Infrastructure Data Migration Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Department supporting the Data Migration team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Data Migration Engineer Location: Dallas, TX- Remote What's the Job? โ€ข Lead and execute complex data migration projects involving legacy file shares, SharePoint environments, and OneDrive data. โ€ข Utilize enterprise migration platforms, specifically Quest Migration, and develop custom scripts to automate data transfer, synchronization, and reporting processes. โ€ข Perform rigorous pre- and post-migration data validation to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance of all transferred data. โ€ข Plan and manage delta syncs to minimize business disruption during migration windows. โ€ข Identify and troubleshoot migration errors or bottlenecks, ensuring a seamless and compliant cutover process. What's Needed? โ€ข 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or systems administration with a focus on enterprise data migrations. โ€ข Deep technical knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and complex legacy File Share environments. โ€ข Proven experience with Quest Migration tools or similar enterprise-grade migration software. โ€ข Strong background in data validation methodologies, ensuring security, compliance, and data integrity. โ€ข Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python to automate tasks and streamline migration processes.
