Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Oracle Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient database solutions using Oracle technologies. This role requires strong proficiency in PL/SQL development, excellent debugging skills, and a proven ability to optimize SQL queries for performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and implement Oracle database objects including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL.
β’ Write complex and efficient SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data.
β’ Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration.
β’ Perform thorough unit and integration testing of developed code.
β’ Identify, troubleshoot, and debug PL/SQL code and database issues.
β’ Analyze query execution plans and implement SQL tuning techniques to optimize database performance.
β’ Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and design appropriate database solutions.
β’ Maintain and enhance existing database applications and code.
β’ Create and maintain technical documentation for database designs, code, and processes.
β’ Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
β’ Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database features and technologies.
β’ Provide support for database deployments and production issues.
Required Skills and Experience:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
β’ Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development.
β’ Strong proficiency in PL/SQL programming, including advanced concepts.
β’ Excellent skills in writing complex and optimized SQL queries.
β’ Proven experience in debugging PL/SQL code and identifying root causes of issues.
β’ Solid understanding of SQL tuning principles and techniques, including the use of explain plans and other performance monitoring tools.
β’ Experience with database design principles and data modeling.
β’ Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
β’ Experience with version control systems
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with database administration tasks.
β’ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
β’ Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools
β’ Knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g., Python).
β’ Familiarity with Kafka integrations
