Job Description:
β’ Client is seeking an experienced Staff Data Modeler to lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
β’ This is a strategic role that bridges business needs and technical execution by developing enterprise-wide data models that support advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time insights.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Architect and maintain logical and physical data models across business domains.
β’ Collaborate with Data Product Owners to align models with business goals.
β’ Lead data modeling best practices including schema design, data governance, and metadata management.
β’ Optimize cloud-based data structures for performance, scalability, and interoperability.
β’ Drive enterprise data standards, security, and compliance across platforms.
β’ Identify and resolve data architecture gaps and drive innovation in data product design.
Tech Stack & Tools:
β’ GCP, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow
β’ Python, SQL, ETL Tools
β’ Data Modeling Tools (Erwin, Power Designer, or similar)
β’ Version control systems (e.g., Git)
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (Masterβs preferred)
β’ 7+ years of experience in data modeling or enterprise data architecture
β’ Expertise in SQL tuning, cloud data architecture, and metadata management
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
