Role Description
This is a remote, contract role as an sUAS Pilot. The sUAS Pilot will operate unmanned aerial systems to execute autonomous flight missions, specifically within DJI Dock-based workflows for data acquisition. Responsibilities include pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and ensuring compliance with federal aviation regulations. The individual will process and manage drone-captured data, prioritize safety and operational efficiency, and conduct maintenance tasks to ensure optimal drone performance. Collaboration with the remote operations team will also be a key component of the role.
Qualifications
β’ Proficiency in sUAS operation, BVLOS flight experience, and familiarity with autonomous mission planning
β’ Competence in FAA regulations, Part 107 certification, and adherence to safety standards
β’ Experience with geospatial data processing, photogrammetry workflows, and data visualization tools
β’ Technical proficiency in remote fleet management software and telemetry systems
β’ Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in operational execution
β’ Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in remote teams
β’ Flexible availability and adaptability to support mission scheduling and occasional travel needs
β’ Experience in renewable energy projects or infrastructure monitoring is a plus
β’ Hold a valid driverβs license and the ability to work within the U.S. compliance regulations
