About The Team And The Role Working in the Sustainability team within Ocado Brand, Sourcing & Sustainability (OBSS), the Sustainability Data Analyst will play a key role in gathering, analysing, and reporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance across the business. This role supports data-driven decision-making to reduce environmental impact, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet sustainability targets aligned to the Ocado Retail’s Planet Together sustainability strategy. What You’ll Do Data Collection & Management • Collect, validate, and manage sustainability-related data, including energy use, emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), packaging, food waste, water, and supply chain metrics. • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. finance, logistics, operations, procurement) and external suppliers to gather accurate and timely data Data Analysis & Reporting • Analyse ESG data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to support corporate sustainability goals. • Create reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and external disclosures. • Support internal stakeholders on policy, strategy and support decision-making Stakeholder engagement • Working with internal and external teams to identify data sources, establish data collection processes, and ensure data accuracy • Contributing to the development and implementation of sustainability strategies by providing data-driven insights Compliance • Ensure data and reporting comply with the relevant meet regulatory and voluntary standards and reporting frameworks • Work with the data providers to maintain the databases whilst improving the data accuracy to ensure mandatory reports across all pillars of the Planet Together sustainability strategy System Support • Maintain or help implement Sustainability data management systems and software • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline data processes Who You Are • Understanding of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks and relevant regulations • High accuracy in data validation, cleaning, and reporting • Ability to identify and solve problems related to sustainability data collection and analysis • Good communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally • Adaptability within a fast-growing company environment • Able to identify solutions to problems and continually challenge what is possible • Demonstrates collaborative working and proactively supports colleagues to achieve organisational goals What’s In It For You By joining Ocado Retail you’ll have the chance to experience life at the world’s largest online retailer, work with an amazing bunch of people who challenge what’s possible each day, and grow your skills and career in online retail.
