Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Tableau Admin. Key Responsibilities: Tableau Server Administration:
β’ Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server and related components
β’ Monitor server performance, usage, and capacity planning
β’ Manage user access, permissions, and security settings
User Support & Enablement:
β’ Provide technical support to Tableau users and troubleshoot issues
β’ Train and guide users on Tableau best practices and dashboard development
β’ Collaborate with business units to understand reporting needs and optimize solutions
Data Governance & Integration:
β’ Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards
β’ Work with data engineers and analysts to integrate data sources and optimize extracts
β’ Maintain metadata and documentation for Tableau assets
Automation & Optimization:
β’ Automate administrative tasks and report scheduling
β’ Optimize workbook performance and server resources
β’ Implement monitoring tools and alerts for proactive issue resolution
Collaboration & Strategy:
β’ Partner with IT, BI, and business teams to align Tableau usage with strategic goals
β’ Contribute to the development of data visualization standards and governance policies
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
β’ 3+ years of experience administering Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud
β’ Strong understanding of Tableau architecture, licensing, and security
β’ Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
β’ Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts
β’ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
