Job Title: Technical Business Analyst
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Technical Business Analyst contract opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Serve as the liaison between functional teams and vendors to ensure software solutions meet business and operational.
β’ Lead requirements elicitation sessions focused on enterprise software platforms such as IBM Maximo, Oracle WAM, SAP PM, PI System, or similar.
β’ Translate operational workflows into user stories, process diagrams, and functional specifications.
β’ Conduct gap analyses and workflow mapping for systems supporting field operations, maintenance scheduling, outage planning, and regulatory compliance.
β’ Collaborate with solution architects and developers to define integration and data flow requirements across enterprise platforms.
β’ Support software testing efforts, including system integration testing, UAT, and regression testing for mission-critical systems.
β’ Facilitate Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demo sessions.
β’ Document and communicate system configurations, business rules, and data definitions.
β’ Participate in change management and training support during system deployment and upgrades.
β’ Coordinate and schedule workshops for respective Business Units (BUs).
β’ Support collaborative workshops with internal and vendor teams.
β’ Assists in the management of workshop participants (SMEβs) and resources.
β’ Maintains project schedules and provides weekly status of workshops to the Core Project Team and BUs.
β’ Updating and reporting of workshop Key Performance Indicators (KPIβs).
β’ Ensure consistency of all reporting across the Core Project Team and BUs.
β’ Verifying completion of workshop deliverables.
β’ Updates project documentation, as needed.
β’ In-depth understanding of nuclear power plant processes.
β’ Experience in Maximo, P6, EDMS, and other nuclear application software
β’ Create or develop software requirements specifications for the purchase of new software.
Job Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
β’ 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst within the energy, utility, or infrastructure sectors.
β’ 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst if the minimal educational requirements are not met.
β’ Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise software implementations
β’ Demonstrated experience building process and data flow mapping, data migration, application configuration, and user adoption.
β’ Strong working knowledge of work management, asset management, outage management, or regulatory compliance systems.
β’ Proficient in writing SQL queries and analyzing structured data from enterprise data sources.
β’ Familiarity with system integration concepts and technologies (e.g., APIs, ETL, middleware).
β’ Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and documentation platforms like Confluence.
β’ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
β’ Self-starter who can develop innovative solutions with minimal supervision
