Technical Business Analyst

Technical Business Analyst Location: Remote Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Contract-to-Hire) Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst with experience supporting investment systems implementations and data integration initiatives within a financial services environment. This role will focus on investment operations workflows, transaction and security mapping, data validation, testing coordination, and platform integration support within a modern API-driven ecosystem. Responsibilities • Support implementation and integration activities for investment platforms and downstream applications • Execute and coordinate UAT, reconciliation testing, and transaction validation efforts • Perform security and transaction mapping analysis across multiple asset classes and workflows • Run and troubleshoot Python-based testing scripts and data validation processes • Analyze trade lifecycle workflows including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and post-trade operations • Collaborate with portfolio management, operations, accounting, and technology teams to validate business requirements and controls • Support API-based data integration and transformation initiatives • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, operational gaps, and testing defects • Create process documentation, workflow diagrams, user stories, and testing artifacts • Partner with business and technical stakeholders throughout implementation and deployment phases Requirements • 5+ years of experience within investment management, asset management, or capital markets environments • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, investment operations, and post-trade workflows • Experience supporting investment platforms such as OMS, accounting, IBOR/PBOR, or portfolio management systems • Experience with UAT, reconciliation testing, transaction validation, and operational workflow analysis • Strong SQL and data analysis skills • Exposure to Python scripting, APIs, or data integration workflows preferred • Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Jira and Confluence • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Preferred Experience • Experience with investment accounting or portfolio management platforms • Exposure to fixed income and derivatives operations • Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or data warehousing/reporting tools • Understanding of investment accounting, NAV, PBOR/IBOR, or performance measurement workflows • Consulting or platform implementation background
