Technical Business Analyst, Fundraising (Consultant)
Location: New York, NY — Onsite 3x/week
Engagement: Long-term consulting (1+ year), potential to convert

A leading global investment manager with ~$45.7B in AUM, serving ~1,800 institutional clients and private investors across credit, real estate, private equity, and permanent capital strategies.
The Role
Join a growing fundraising team as a Technical Business Analyst, supporting data-driven decision-making and process optimization for fundraising and investor relations.
Responsibilities
• Gather business requirements and improve fundraising processes
• Build advanced Excel reporting (SUMIFs, VLOOKUP, Index/Match, pivot tables, automation)
• Administer Salesforce — data cleansing, dashboards, reports, automation
• Bridge fundraising, investor relations, and tech teams for data accuracy and workflow alignment
• Analyze fundraising pipelines and investor engagement data
• Document processes for capital raising, onboarding, and investor reporting
• Support UAT and end-user training
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
• 3-6 years of business analyst experience in asset management, PE, or alternatives
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)
• Hands-on Salesforce administration experience
• Strong understanding of fundraising/investor relations data flows
• Detail-oriented, strong communicator, able to manage multiple projects independently
Nice to Have
• Salesforce certification (Admin or Advanced Admin)
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI
• Direct fundraising or investor relations exposure
