The Role:
As a proactive Lead Engineer, you will spearhead risk operations initiatives, combining hands-on engineering with effective team leadership. Your primary focus will be on enhancing risk management systems within the financial services sector.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement scalable risk management data platforms
- Create production-grade Python code for monitoring, analytics, and reporting purposes
- Oversee cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and orchestrate with Kubernetes
- Develop and optimize DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and IaC automation
- Mentor fellow engineers and promote best practices within the team
- Bridge the gap between business/risk requirements and technical solutions
- Ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of risk platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Risk Tech, Capital Markets, Equities, Fixed Income, and Regulatory departments
Must-Haves:
- Proficiency in Python engineering
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, RDS)
- Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Background in data platforms, pipelines, and management
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous exposure to Risk Tech, Capital Markets, Trading, or Regulatory environments
