About the Role:
We're seeking a Technology Risk Analyst with a strong foundation in risk and control frameworks and hands-on expertise in Jira configuration and workflow management. This individual will play a critical role in designing and delivering a Risk Portal within Jira, which will serve as the central intake and management hub for Technology Risk Issues.
The current state is entirely manual. This role will drive the transformation of risk intake and issue management processes into an automated, scalable, and intuitive Jira-based solution, enabling streamlined collaboration and metrics-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement end-to-end workflows in Jira to support:
• Risk Intake
• Risk Issues Management
• Serve as a liaison between Technology Risk teams and Technology to ensure business needs are fully captured in Jira workflows and data structures.
• Define and configure fields, issue types, statuses, dashboards, filters, and automations in Jira.
• Establish a metrics and reporting framework, leveraging Jira and/or exporting structured data to external tools like Tableau.
• Identify and recommend valuable KPIs and reporting dimensions for risk governance.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise control standards.
• Provide documentation, training, and handoff materials to support long-term sustainability of the solution.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years in Technology Risk, IT Controls, or Risk Governance in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, insurance).
• Strong working knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, or SOX ITGC.
• Hands-on Jira experience, including custom workflows, fields, forms, dashboards, and automations.
• Experience with issue lifecycle management and risk remediation tracking.
• Understanding of risk metrics, control health indicators, and related governance reporting.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Success Criteria:
A fully functional and adopted Risk Portal in Jira is delivered, inclusive of:
• Risk Intake workflows
• Risk Issue tracking
• Real-time dashboards
• Aligned and actionable reporting outputs
