Role description
Job Title: Transportation Data Analyst Location: Atlanta, GA 30339 Job Type: Contract Overview: We are looking for a skilled and analytical Data Analyst to join our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in data analysis with a strong command of SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.- This role will play a critical part in turning complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making for a major supply chain modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources to support supply chain operations β€’ Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate key trends and KPIs β€’ Write complex SQL queries to access and manipulate structured data from relational databases β€’ Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver insights to improve supply chain efficiency β€’ Perform root cause analysis of supply chain issues using historical and real-time data β€’ Develop recurring reports to monitor inventory, vendor performance, lead times, and service levels β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvement through data modeling and predictive analytics β€’ Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reports, dashboards, and databases Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field β€’ 3–5 years of experience minimum in a data analyst role, ideally within a supply chain, logistics, or operations setting β€’ Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying and transforming large data sets β€’ Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms β€’ Strong understanding of supply chain concepts and key performance indicators (KPIs) β€’ High attention to detail, data accuracy, and analytical thinking β€’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation β€’ Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) β€’ Background in forecasting, inventory optimization, or supply planning analytics
