Job Description:
β’ Architect and implement scalable and reliable backend systems and APIs for cloud applications.
β’ Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based applications ensuring they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
β’ Create and maintain robust APIs to support various clients (e.g., mobile, web).
β’ Develop and maintain microservices, breaking down applications into smaller, independent services.
β’ Designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure.
β’ Monitoring cloud resource utilization, performance, and cost, optimizing for efficiency and scalability.
β’ Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving cloud-related issues, ensuring the stability and availability of cloud services.
β’ Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
β’ Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
β’ Review and approve software design and code
β’ Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineering, product management, bioware, chemistry, and hardware ensuring seamless integration and alignment of goals across all departments
Essential skills and qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, or related field.
β’ Minimum of 5 years experience as cloud backend engineer.
β’ Proficiency in Python and one more backend languages such as Java, Go, or Node.js.
β’ Experience with at least one major cloud platform preferably Google Cloud.
β’ Experience of Kubernetes cluster management
β’ Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
β’ Strong understanding of API design principles and experience with RESTful APIs.
β’ Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies.
β’ Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
β’ Excellent debugging and optimization skills
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired skills and qualifications:
β’ Experience with specific cloud services like Kafka, message queues, or configuration management tools.
β’ Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.
