Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Analyst to join the project team. The Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking individuals to serve as resources to be assigned across departments based on organizational need. You will report directly to the PMO and will primarily support the documentation and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various business processes.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and usability of documented procedures. As a key contributor to the Workday implementation, it is imperative that you uphold high-quality standards and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze, document, and formalize business processes into SOPs
β’ Develop process maps, workflows, and narratives to capture end-to-end procedures
β’ Conduct interviews, workshops, and document reviews to gather requirements and validate process steps
β’ Ensure SOPs align with policy, compliance, and operational needs and meet formatting standards
β’ Maintain version control and manage updates or revisions
β’ Translate technical or complex information into reader-friendly, step-by-step documentation for non-technical users
β’ Collaborate with QA, operations, and project teams to validate and implement SOPs
β’ Assist in creating supporting materials such as training guides, checklists, job aids, and FAQs
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ Workday experience
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field
β’ 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Writer, or Documentation Specialist, preferably in a government, healthcare, or enterprise environment
β’ Proven experience developing and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, or procedural manuals
β’ Strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow modeling, and requirements gathering
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
β’ Familiarity with documentation repositories such as SharePoint and Confluence
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and clarity
β’ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple SOPs and deadlines across stakeholders
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
β’ Experience working in Local, State, and/or Federal government environments
