Business Analyst

Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and project management, with proficiency in various analytical tools and methodologies. This role is essential for driving business insights and supporting decision-making processes through effective data management and analysis. Duties Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals. Analyze data sets using SQL, R, Python, and other tools to derive actionable insights that inform business strategies. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by assisting in the design, testing, and implementation of new systems or enhancements. Utilize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases for analysis. Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Create detailed documentation including process flows using Visio and database designs to support project development. Work within Agile frameworks to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity and security across all platforms. Requirements Proven experience in business analysis or a related field with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in SQL for database querying; experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle is preferred. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with ETL tools like Talend for data integration tasks. Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles. Strong skills in database design and management; familiarity with VBA or Bash (Unix shell) is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
