We are seeking an experienced Microsoft BI Stack Specialist to join our team. This role requires a hands-on expert with strong technical knowledge of Microsoft’s Business Intelligence stack, database architecture, and optimization techniques, coupled with data visualization and other integrated tools. The ideal candidate will thrive in strategic problem-solving environments and is as adept at independent work as they are at collaboration. Key Responsibilities: • Provide expert-level hands-on support and development utilizing Microsoft BI Stack technologies: SQL Server Data Services (SSDS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). • Design and maintain efficient architecture for relational databases (SQL Server) and ensure high performance and availability. • Actively engage in SQL database administration, ensuring integrity, performance optimization, and scalability. • Implement server and query optimization techniques to maintain superior system performance. • Handle large datasets effectively, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data processing. • Collaborate with teams on projects involving time series analysis or pricing models, leveraging advanced data strategies. • Create robust technical and operational documentation to foster knowledge sharing and system maintenance. • Utilize data visualization tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau to articulate complex insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Leverage Office 365 tools (PowerApps and Power Automate) for workflow and process automation to drive operational efficiency. • Maintain excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders effectively. • Perform additional duties as required, with a proactive and self-driven approach. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: • Previous experience or understanding of Energy Trading or Risk Management. • Working knowledge of Python, particularly with ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks. • Knowledge of Oracle Database systems and their integration with SQL Server frameworks. • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS to support hybrid and cloud-based data solutions.
