Multiple Cloud Data Engineer Consultants for a 100% remote contract role.

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging modern cloud services to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and implement scalable, secure cloud data storage solutions with high availability and performance.
β’ Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ETL processes, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
β’ Automate workflows and integrate third-party services using cloud-native tools.
β’ Monitor performance of cloud data systems (e.g., AWS CloudWatch), troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
β’ Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
β’ Develop APIs and optimize data retrieval methods for enterprise consumption.
β’ Ensure compliance with data security, encryption, and governance standards.
β’ Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineers to support data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
β’ Partner with IT and security teams to establish disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
β’ Maintain documentation, data flow diagrams, and metadata for lineage and cataloging.
β’ Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud data engineering to drive innovation.
Key Skills & Requirements
β’ Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
β’ Cloud Platforms: AWS (Kubernetes), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
β’ Data Storage: Data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage services (e.g., S3).
β’ Pipelines: ETL pipeline development & automation (e.g., GitHub Actions).
β’ Programming: Python, Java, Scala.
β’ Databases & Systems: SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, PostgreSQL.
β’ Data Security & Governance: Strong understanding of compliance and best practices.
β’ Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and analyze large datasets for patterns and trends.
