Cloud Engineer - Remote - 6 Months Contract
Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join them as a contractor, with the option to work fully remote. Starting at an initial 6 month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.
Responsibilities
β’ Review and manage technical requirements and business functional requirements to establish new Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and infrastructures;
β’ Manage standard administration activities for Azure, respond to user service requests;
β’ Incident analysis and troubleshooting including troubleshooting with Microsoft;
β’ Develop PowerShell scripts for managing and automating the deployment of Azure resources;
β’ Execute assessment, migration and implementation plans to deploy Azure infrastructures and move workloads to Azure using native Azure migration tools or third-party tools;
β’ Have the ability to go technically deep across Azure services, actively seek solutions to the needs of internal and external customers, communicate trends to management and drive Azure product improvements;
β’ Support the evolution of the Azure services through the design and implementation of new service features;
β’ Work in close collaboration with other technical teams including Information Security, Architecture, Service Management, etc.
β’ Improve internal efficiency and customers happiness by finding opportunities to optimize existing processes and tools;
β’ Prepare technical documentation on the Azure services and related procedures and operations;
β’ Maintain infrastructure diagrams up-to-date;
β’ Assist the Head of the Unit and Azure Services Lead on expert matters.
Experience:
β’ Requires extensive experience working with customers on Azure solutions and deployments
β’ Understanding of and ability to migrate to Azure using third-party tools (e.g. Movere, Attunity, Cloudamize, CloudAtlas, Corent, Inspirer, Zerto, etc.)
β’ Microsoft Azure Certification(s)
β’ Expert knowledge of English is required
