Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions using the Snowflake cloud data platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake development, strong SQL skills, and the ability to integrate and manage data pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and data science teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, including data ingestion, transformation (ELT), and data modeling.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake stored procedures, views, UDFs, and Snowpipe for real-time/near-real-time data processing.
• Integrate data from various sources (e.g., APIs, cloud storage, relational databases) into Snowflake using tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Informatica, Fivetran, or Talend.
• Create and maintain data models (star/snowflake schemas) that support efficient querying and reporting.
• Monitor and tune performance of Snowflake queries and workloads to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and security by applying appropriate data access controls, auditing, and compliance practices.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the data engineering processes.
• Support migration of legacy data warehouses to Snowflake from platforms like Redshift, Teradata, or SQL Server.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, with 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL expertise and experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Proficient in data pipeline and orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Matillion.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD for data projects, and version control tools
