DTI has an immediate need for a Jira Designer/BI Publisher Developer for a long-term contract in San Antonio, Tx. Must work on oiur W2 Tues-Thursday onsite Job Overview: Our client, a leading public utility provider in San Antonio, is seeking a skilled Jira Designer / BI Publisher Developer to support the design and development of reporting dashboards that improve project visibility, performance tracking, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jira dashboard design and Oracle BI Publisher for building interactive, executive-level reports and dashboards. This role involves gathering requirements, designing data visualizations, and delivering solutions that meet business and regulatory needs. Key Responsibilities: • Design and configure advanced Jira dashboards for leadership and project teams using native tools and plugins (e.g., EazyBI, Custom Charts). • Build and maintain BI Publisher dashboards to support business operations and strategic decision-making. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into functional dashboard designs. • Integrate data across platforms (Jira, Oracle, etc.) and ensure data accuracy and consistency. • Automate reporting processes where possible, improving efficiency and reducing manual work. • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting and data issues as needed. • Ensure compliance with company standards and public utility reporting requirements. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in dashboard and reporting design. • Strong experience with Jira dashboards, Jira Query Language (JQL), and Jira plugins. • Proficiency in Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), including layout design, template building, and data modeling. • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices. • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a deadline-driven environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience in the utilities or energy sector. • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies. • Experience with SQL, Oracle Cloud ERP, or ServiceNow. • Knowledge of other reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or OBIEE is a plus.
