Job Title: Data Engineer Location: Hybrid/Manchester Rate: £400/day Inside Ir35 Duration: until 31/03/26 to begin with About Us: Brio Digital are currently supporting a public sector consultancy who are currently looking for a skilled Data Engineer with a lot of experience with R, Shiny & Databricks. Role Overview: As a Databricks Engineer, you will design, develop, and manage data solutions on the Databricks platform, enabling high-performance data pipelines and analytics. This role will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and optimise data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS. • Utilize Azure Functions and Event Hub to manage data ingestion and streaming processes. • Implement data storage solutions (DWH, SQL Server, MySQL) to support scalable data architectures. • Leverage BI tools like Power BI and Tableau for data visualisation and reporting. • Collaborate on ETL and data engineering tasks, ensuring efficient data transformations with SQL, Excel, and DevOps tools. • Support teams in utilizing JIRA, Visual Studio, and Office Suite for project management and collaboration. Qualifications: • Strong experience with Databricks, Azure, Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS. • Experience with R & Shiny • Proficient with BI/data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ETL/data engineering. • Advanced SQL skills, with experience in SQL Server and MySQL. • Familiar with DevOps practices and project management tools like JIRA and Visual Studio.
