Primary Services is looking for a dynamic Data Scientist to support our prestigious client in the energy and technology sector. This role provides the rare opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced analytics and real-world impact, driving smarter decisions across consumer-focused energy brands. Candidates will apply statistical and machine learning techniques while learning and growing in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
• Work hands-on with Python, PySpark, and Databricks to process and analyze large datasets.
• Develop, refine, and deploy models and dashboards that guide strategic and financial decisions.
• Apply statistical methods, forecasting, and machine learning to understand customer behavior.
• Support cross-functional initiatives by delivering insights that enhance customer experiences and business outcomes.
• Embrace a collaborative culture rooted in humility, curiosity, and impact.
• Learn while doing, applying best practices in data science in real-time business scenarios.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 0–3 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, or related roles.
• Proficiency with statistical software and database query languages.
• Experience with Python data libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Matplotlib).
• Knowledge of PySpark and cloud-based data environments.
• Familiarity with statistical frameworks including frequentist and Bayesian methods, forecasting, causal inference, and NLP.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions.
• Proficiency with version control systems is preferred.
• PhD in a quantitative field is a plus.
