Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned Teradata Application DBA/Database Administrator/Engineer with 10+ years of verifiable onsite experience for immediate hire. The position is moving quickly and the client (a major healthcare company) is willing to offer Remote working option for the right candidate. Experience working with Teradata Vantage on AWS is important. Responsibilities Responsible for Supporting Teradata Application DBA activities (Development, Test, Production) in a 24x7 environment (both On-prem and Cloud). Through understanding of Teradata Architecture (v16.20 or Higher) on AWS. Expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, Query Performance tuning, System monitoring. Through experience in utilizing NOS, Query Grid, DSA, Data Mover. Experience in Viewpoint monitoring, Tableau Dashboards, Explain analysis, End user support and documentation. Experience in creating automation scripts (shell scripts, stored procs, macros) to streamline routine DBA activities. Able to help business users with Data Labs and Query tuning support. Work with vendors on Incidents, Patches, Upgrades and Cloud migrations. Past Programming and SDLC life cycle experience a plus. Meet or exceed customer expectations and SLA goals. Experience in using Snowflake/Databricks is a plus. Good Communication Skills is a must. Qualifications Proficiency in Teradata Database with experience in Database Administration, Support and Operations. Strong knowledge of scripting languages for automation purposes. Experience with high availability solutions in database environments. Familiarity with Linux operating systems is preferred. Solid understanding of performance tuning techniques for databases and applications. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
