Job Description: Oracle EPM Analyst (USC/GC only)
Location: Remote
Position Summary:
The Remote Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Analyst is responsible for supporting, implementing, and maintaining Oracle EPM solutions to enhance an organization’s financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes, and the financial consolidation and closing process, as well as being able to support data analysis and reporting requests. This role involves working closely with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and accurate EPM solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: Working under the direction of the Financial Analyst Manager:
1\. System Implementation and Configuration:
o Design, configure, and maintain Oracle EPM Cloud applications (e.g., Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service - PBCS, Financial Consolidation and Close - FCCS.
o Develop and manage metadata, business rules, calculations, and data integrations.
o Lead or assist in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
2\. Business Support and Analysis:
o Collaborate with finance and business teams to gather and analyze requirements.
o Create dashboards, reports, and ad hoc queries to meet business reporting needs.
o Provide training and support to end-users on Oracle EPM tools and functionalities.
3\. Process Optimization:
o Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
o Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems.
4\. Data Integration and Management:
o Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow between Oracle EPM and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP systems like Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, etc.).
o Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes to maintain data accuracy.
5\. Compliance and Governance:
o Ensure that the EPM system complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
o Maintain thorough documentation of processes, configurations, and system changes.
6\. Project Management:
o Plan and execute EPM-related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
o Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/consultants as needed.
7\. Migration from Financial Reporting (FR) to Management Reporting (MR) in Oracle EPM Cloud:
o Expertise in Oracle EPM Reporting – Understanding of FR Studio and MR, including grids, formulas, filters, and dynamic selections to ensure accurate report replication.
o Data Source & Integration Knowledge – Familiarity with FCCS, EPBCS data structures, including Smart View validation to verify data accuracy.
o Report Mapping, Testing & Validation – Ability to analyze FR report structures, identify alternative approaches in MR, and perform data reconciliation between FR and MR reports.
o Advanced Formatting & Automation – Experience in conditional formatting, layouts, cross-grid formulas, and scheduling reports using MR and Narrative Reporting for streamlined reporting.
o Security & Performance Optimization – Managing report access control, user permissions, and performance tuning to optimize report retrieval and usability for end users.
Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Experience:
o 3–5 years of experience working with Oracle EPM solutions.
o Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Oracle EPM Cloud applications such as FCCS and/or EPBCS.
o Hands-on experience with Smart View, Essbase, and Hyperion.
o Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) and data integration tools.
· Soft Skills:
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
