Our client, a global leader in technology-enabled claims and risk management solutions, is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer for a remote contract opportunity. This role offers the potential for extension and/or full-time conversion. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating and modernizing existing low-code/no-code tools while designing scalable, secure, enterprise-grade applications and workflows using Microsoftβs Power Platform.
What youβll do:
Design & build apps
β’ Design and develop robust Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps
β’ Build enterprise-grade mobile and web solutions
β’ Leverage and create custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate (Flow)
Modernize legacy systems
β’ Re-engineer and optimize legacy applications using Power Platform
β’ Evaluate existing internal tools and develop high-impact solutions tailored to business needs
Data & security
β’ Model and integrate data across MySQL, SQL Server, and other sources.
β’ Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within Power Apps solutions.
Analytics integration
β’ Embed Power BI reports and dashboards to deliver actionable insights.
β’ Support claims-related data reporting and visualization initiatives
Testing & delivery
β’ Own unit and integration testing
β’ Ensure timely, quality delivery of solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements
Collaboration & communication
β’ Present designs, status, and risks to stakeholders, team leads, and cross functional partners in IT operations and information security
β’ Work closely with distributed teams and internal SMEs to align technical deliverables with operational goals
Platform stewardship
β’ Guide the team on licensing models, feature sets, and best practices across the Power Platform community.
What youβll bring:
β’ Proven experience developing Canvas and Model-Driven apps in a production environment
β’ Deep experience with Power Automate, custom connectors, and Power BI
β’ Strong background in SQL (MySQL, SQL Server), including stored procedures and data modeling
β’ Practical understanding of PowerApps security hardening
β’ Experience working with .NET and C# for API development and integration (preferred)
β’ Familiarity with Deltek and extracting data via its APIs (preferred)
β’ Proficient with PowerShell scripting and automation (a plus)
β’ Clear communicator, capable of working effectively in a remote, distributed team
Additional Notes:
β’ Key focus areas include document and file management, photo storage, and claims-related data systems - especially within Office 365 and SharePoint environments.
β’ Experience working with large-scale document repositories and secure content workflows is strongly preferred.
β’ Power BI experience is required.
β’ Technical proficiency in the following is a strong plus:
β’ PowerShell scripting and automation
β’ Advanced SQL (including stored procedures, views, and complex queries)
β’ .NET and C# programming for API integration and tool development
