Database Developer - Azure

Duration - 12 months Contract to hire Location - 100% remote - EST/CST hours Candidates who can work without sponsorship will be considered. No 3rd party candidates please Seeking 2 Azure SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure SQL databases in the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure SQL Database services, T-SQL programming, and Knowledge of data integration tools (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse etc.) to support the growing cloud-based data infrastructure. Company fit is very key for these roles; self motivated/starter, investigative type, meticulous, able to roll with the punches and navigate challenging personalities. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop database solutions using Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and related Azure services. • Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource monitoring. • Create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers using T-SQL. • Collaborate with data architects, application developers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow across systems. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Azure SQL performance, reliability, and availability. Required Qualifications: • 7+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer, with at least 2+ years in Azure SQL Database. • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including complex joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Strong proficiency in Python and Java Script for automation scripting • Experience with service-oriented Architecture • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Managed Instances.
