Database Engineer

TEKsystems has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA for a contract to hire: Performance DBA Skillset • Experience in in developing PL/SQL and optimize PL/SQL code (most important) • Experience in application development that helps with understanding how to tune application queries. • Experience in ORACLE 19c (such as Oracle optimizer, explain plans, SQL plans, hints, TKPROF, traces, structures). • Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) • Experience in SQL and optimize queries • Experience in in developing PL/SQL and optimize PL/SQL code • Experience in optimizing database structures (indexes, Primary/Foreign keys, tables structures) • Some Java experience but not required Skills Tune application queries, Application Development, 19c, Optimizer, SQL, TKPROF, Traces, Structures, Real Application Cluster, RAC, Queries, PL/SQL, Index, Primary, Foreign, Key, Table Structure, SQLPlus, Unix, ASH, AWR, Monitoring, Java Additional Skills & Qualifications • SQLPLUS and PL/SQL. • Knowledge of procedure/packages/triggers. • Knowledge of SQL profiles and baselines. • Oracle Scripting in Unix a plus • SQLDeveloper • Experience in OEM • Using ASH and AWR reports (or even manually generating ASH and AWR reports) • Monitoring (or even monitoring with scripts) Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
