Job Title: Senior EDW Administrator / Data & Analytics Platform Engineer Location: Richmond, VA (Local Preferred) – Remote Job Description: CarMax is looking for a Senior Data & Analytics Platform Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud platform engineering, DevOps, and BI tools like Tableau Cloud and Power BI Fabric. You will be responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure to support Data Science, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management. Responsibilities: • Design scalable and cost-effective cloud platforms (Azure) for data solutions (DSML, EDW, MDM). • Build and manage Azure components: Storage, ADF, Key Vaults, VMs, Networking, CI/CD pipelines. • Administer Tableau Cloud and Power BI Fabric; set up Gateways, Admin Portals, and licensing. • Manage Snowflake and Databricks environments (setup, monitoring, performance tuning). • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Bicep and PowerShell. • Lead cloud cost optimization and support automation efforts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across onsite and offshore locations. • Ensure 24/7 availability through proactive monitoring and incident response. • Apply SRE practices and Agile methodology to improve platform reliability.
