Role description
Role: IT Business Analyst
Location: New York, NY(Hybrid role)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Essential Duties:
β’ Work closely with Trading desks to establish a trust relationship with traders
β’ Responding to user inquiries and support requests related to IT applications, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
β’ Logging, tracking, and managing incidents reported by users, ensuring they are resolved or escalated appropriately.
β’ Collaborating with traders and other stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for application features and
β’ enhancements.
β’ Conducting testing of new features, bug fixes, and system updates to ensure they meet business requirements and function
β’ correctly.
β’ Providing training to users on application functionalities and creating user guides or documentation to assist with application
β’ usage.
β’ Working closely with IT Development teams to communicate user requirements, prioritize issues, and facilitate the
β’ implementation of new features or enhancements.
β’ Monitoring the performance of IT applications to identify and address any issues that may affect user experience or operational
β’ efficiency.
β’ Providing regular updates on the status of incidents, requests, and ongoing projects to stakeholders and management.
β’ Engaging with Front Office teams to understand their workflows, gather feedback on application usage, and identify areas for
β’ improvement.
β’ Ensuring that all support activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and industry best practices
Skill:
β’ Experience in IT business analysis and/or IT Support Analyst functions for Front Office in the Finance industry
β’ Knowledge of financial Products (Structured Products, Equity Options, Securities Lending, TRS, Repo, Interest Rate
β’ Derivatives and term structures, Credit bonds, CLOβ¦) and their trade workflows.
β’ Knowledge and experience in one of the following:
β’ Equity trade execution and booking (Fidessa, Dash, Markitwire, Sophis or similarβ¦)
β’ Credit Markets Trades and booking gateways
β’ Structured products trades and workflows
β’ Pricing, P&L and Risk management
β’ Equity and Credit Instrument Data Referential (Listed Derivatives, Securities, Indices, and ETFs), RIMES of similar
β’ applications.
β’ Knowledge of SQL is a plus
β’ Strong communication skills.to effectively support the needs of the Front Office teams
β’ Ability to quickly prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment on multiple applications
β’ Strong customer service focus
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
β’ Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
β’ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
