β€’ β€’ 100% Remote β€’ β€’ Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Javascript Analytics Developer. As a Javascript Analytics Developer, you will design and develop data layer standards to gather data from user behavior while focusing on performance, maintainability, and adherence to web standards. You’ll work with Vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript to build type-safe, class-based solutions without relying heavily on abstraction layers. This is a role for developers who take pride in their craft and prefer to stay close to the "metal" of web development. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $70 - $80 / hr. w2 Responsibilities: Standards-Driven Development: β€’ Build a data layer for tracking user behavior and enhancing click tracking at scale with JavaScript, ensuring compliance with modern web standards. β€’ Focus on minimalistic coding practices to work on a performant layer to capture data around user interactions and forwarding this data to our data lake Core Development: β€’ Write and maintain Vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript code with robust type interfaces and class structures. β€’ Develop modular, reusable components while avoiding over-reliance on frameworks or libraries. β€’ Follow object-oriented programming principles to create scalable and maintainable frontend architectures. Collaboration & Integration: β€’ Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless data flow and integration. β€’ Collaborate with the digital marketing team to ensure that clean data is captured into the right data layer locations Testing & Debugging: β€’ Write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability. β€’ Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure that we are not over tracking or obtaining bad data Continuous Improvement: β€’ Stay updated on modern web technologies and best practices and apply them where relevant. β€’ Mentor junior developers and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing. Requirements: Technical Expertise: β€’ Strong proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript, ES6+ features, and browser APIs. β€’ Expertise in TypeScript, with a focus on creating type-safe applications using type interfaces and class-based structures. β€’ Be able to obtain data from the DOM and APIs in a scalable, safe manner β€’ Familiarity with performance-focused techniques. Core Principles: β€’ Deep understanding of browser internals, DOM manipulation, and event handling. β€’ Tooling & Debugging: β€’ Experience using development tools like Chrome DevTools to profile and debug applications. Testing: β€’ Experience with testing tools like Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks. Soft Skills: β€’ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. β€’ Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
