Position Available for Following Locations: New Jersey, Georgia, Virginia
Position Title: Junior Competitive Intelligence Analyst
Position Summary:
The role is responsible for providing strong competitive expertise in the Human Capital Management (HCM) space.
β’ Develop advanced understanding of competitive technologies and trends impacting a Business Unit (BU) and become a subject matter Expert (SME) within the organization.
β’ Conduct deep competitor assessments β across strategic roadmap, portfolio capabilities, go to market efforts, sales, service delivery and financials β so that the BU can better understand how they stack up and identify opportunities
β’ Create and maintain competitive intelligence assets with a focus on delivering compelling content and creative storytelling to enable action
β’ Understand complex business challenges and partner with internal stakeholders to help solve for these, which would also require the preparation and presentation of insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
β’ Provide insights that inform Go To Market, product development, marketing strategies, and business planning.
Education/Knowledge/Experience:
β’ Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
β’ 2+ years of experience, preferably in the HCM or B2B SaaS industry in competitive intelligence, Market Insights, consulting, or Corporate Strategy role
β’ Well-organized, data driven, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent deliverables
β’ Ability to identify strategic needs with little direction
β’ Executive presence to gain the confidence of business leaders.
β’ Compelling storyteller: Leverages outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to present views in a persuasive manner, tailored to audience and objectives
β’ Experience or familiarity with the global SaaS/HCM enterprise software market is a strong plus
β’ Proficiency in market research and competitive intelligence tools and software
β’ Strong computer skills including comfort in using and exploring generative AI tools Attributes:
β’ Ability to work effectively in dynamic, team-based environments across multiple functions.
β’ Ability to build and leverage internal relationships
β’ Demonstrate credibility as a subject matter expert in insights rooted in knowledge and experience
β’ Comfort with reading and using financial statements and strong business acumen
β’ Attention to detail but possessing practical business leverage mindset rather than a technical/academic research mindset
β’ Self-directed, goal oriented and personally accountable
