Job Description:
VDOT is seeking a Lead Analyst – Power Apps and Automate to drive the support, development, and optimization of Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This role will allocate 70% effort to hands-on development and support, and 30% to team leadership within the Business Integrated Solutions Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Power Platform Development & Support (70%)
• Build, enhance, and maintain Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate flows
• Integrate Power Automate into business workflows to increase efficiency
• Resolve support tickets and provide ongoing maintenance for apps and flows
• Develop tier 1 applications; contribute to tier 2 apps using premium connectors
• Analyze performance and security of apps, optimizing for enterprise scale
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize automation impact
Leadership & Strategy (30%)
• Lead a team of Power Platform analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Mentor team members and enforce Power Platform best practices
• Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solution alignment
• Deliver presentations and updates to executive leadership
• Provide team training to upskill staff in Power Platform tools
Experience & Qualifications:
• 7+ years in application analysis, automation, or Power Platform development
• Extensive experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience in a technical environment
• Experience in low-code/no-code solutions for enterprise-level business problems
• Knowledge of Azure integrations and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• Microsoft certifications in Power Platform and Azure preferred
