PL/SQL Developer

Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer Location: Fully Remote Duration: Long-term (18+ Months) Description Client is seeking a Senior level technical or business area expert in one or more disciplines called upon to address a particular task or environment need. As a technical expert, provides advice and assistance in state-the-art software/hardware solutions involving hardware of various capacities, multiple operating environments, database management systems specialized software, data communications facilitator and protocols including Value Added Networks, fourth generation technologies, and complex software tools or packages. As a business expert, works with senior client officials to identify enterprise improvement goals, assess organizational and process effectiveness, and implement change strategies. Designs technical and business solutions, mentors and trains client staff, and oversees implementation. Possesses a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to studying and analyzing system’s needs, systems development, and systems process analysis, design and re-engineering. Skilled and experience related to business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering. Typically, has specialization in a particular technology or business application. Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends. Responsibilities Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packages Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements Extensive Oracle database experience Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities UNIX Shell scripting Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans Perform code reviews and bug fixing Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity Qualifications Implementing and Deploying Cloud Applications: Experience deploying Python applications in cloud service production environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), potentially leveraging containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of Software Engineering Best Practices: Experience in applying principles like version control (Git), writing clear and testable code, participating in code reviews, and using CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of Data Science Best Practices: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of data science solutions such as data pipelining, feature engineering, or Machine Learning Models Familiarity with Cloud-based Data Science Services: Proficiency using managed AI/ML services provided by cloud platforms to streamline development, deployment, and management of data science applications Required Skills and Experience 8+ years of IT experience 8+ years of PL/SQL development experience Experience with UNIX, MS Windows Server Hands-on experience with: Oracle Java (Spring Framework) PL/SQL Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, JSON SQL Developer, JDeveloper Shell Scripting UNIX/Linux Expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas Direct customer interaction to resolve issues or identify new requirements Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations Confident and skilled in problem-solving Ability to work independently and within a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge Works on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program, performs duties independently Oversees the efforts of reporting resources and/or responsible for staff assigned to a specific job Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 10+ years of experience (or commensurate experience)
