Power BI Developer (Contract β Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join a dynamic healthcare-focused project. This is a contract opportunity with a leading consulting partner, supporting one of their enterprise healthcare clients. The role is 100% remote and requires someone who can work independently to design, develop, and optimize data visualization solutions.
Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and dataflows to support business and clinical operations.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
β’ Optimize existing dashboards and dataflows for performance, scalability, and usability.
β’ Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all reporting deliverables.
β’ Develop documentation, training, and best practices for end users to maximize adoption of reporting tools.
β’ Participate in data governance and quality assurance initiatives to maintain consistency across reporting platforms.
Required Skills
β’ Proven experience as a Power BI Developer working with enterprise-scale datasets.
β’ Strong expertise in Power BI Dataflows, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
β’ Hands-on experience designing and building interactive dashboards and reports.
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, or similar).
β’ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while engaging stakeholders in a professional, consultative manner.
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience working in healthcare or life sciences data environments.
β’ Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse).
β’ Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements (HIPAA, PHI, etc.).
β’ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance speed and quality in delivery.
