Locations: 100% Onsite at Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 Months Contract on W2 (Possible Extension up to 24 months)
Job Description:
Summary:
The main responsibilities of a Python Engineer include writing and testing code, debugging programs and integrating applications with third-party web services.
Top must-have HARD skills:
Python experience (5+ years) - Pandas or Python
Coding and debugging hardware - head down and some meetings
Experience working with consumer electronics
Responsibilities:
β’ Write effective, scalable code
β’ Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
β’ Integrate user-facing elements into applications
β’ Review and approve modifications to existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
β’ Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Qualifications:
β’ Hands-on experience in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)
β’ Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
β’ Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
β’ Strong ability to work independently and manage oneβs time.
β’ Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
β’ Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
β’ Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.
β’ Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
Degrees/Certifications Required:
β’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required.
